There are several Nationally funded scholarships offered each year. To learn about these scholarships please visit the following site and fill out the appropriate form: http://www.nawic.org/nfsf.htm Following is a brief list and information about each scholarship. NAWIC Founders' Scholarship Foundation (NFSF) Each year the we are pleased to award over $25,000 to worthy recipients in construction-related programs. Award amounts range from $1,000 to $2,000. To apply for a NAWIC Founders scholarship visit the National Association Site at the following link and select and fill out the appropriate application form. NAWIC Education Foundation Programs (NEF) This is a training program for women in various construction fields. NAWIC Partners' Education Programs Many of NAWIC's partners - such as ABC, AIC and FHWA - offer educational programs and scholarships of their own.
The Lansing Chapter #177 also offers several local scholarships. l. Tradeswoman Apprenticeship Grant. This is designed to assist construction apprentices who are Michigan residents and currently enrolled in a bona fide, USDOL Bureau of Apprenticeship Training approved program. These funds do not necessarily have to be applied toward school needs and may be used for any need that might cause an apprentice to have to give up the program. There is no set amount for these grants. 2. The Carleen E. Hallman Undergraduate Scholarship. This is a $1000 scholarship which is offered annually to any student who is enrolled in degreed program in the construction industry in the State of Michigan.
